Beware the Marketing Next Door

With so many people entering the gig economy, I predict next year we will see an explosion of marketing from new businesses. From Pampered Chef to the ghosts of old Google searches, we’ll see more offers and ways to spend our time and money than ever before.

What can you do to shield yourself from the marketing onslaught?

Get clear on what you want first. Define a massive goal or two that mean something to you, that light up your heart. Remind yourself of them daily.

Then, when marketers attack, you have a reference point: Does this get me closer to my massive goal? If it doesn’t, you can walk on.
